elizabeth SWAN

When my daughter was about three years old, she announced, “Mom, you don’t have a brain. You have a heart in your head!”

Many years later, my resume suggests there’s functioning grey matter in there, but I feel my defining achievements are qualities that can be experienced (and summed-up by a slightly precocious kiddo).

I am generally unflappable, calm, and genuine. There is no hurry when we converse. I practice curiosity before criticism, compassion before contempt, and I bring with me into all spaces a willingness to see what is possible instead of problematic, what is essential instead of easy. I believe a possibility calls for a path.

As a professional, I have experience managing teams and operating services in seasonal, retail, government, and corporate environments across industries ranging from tech to tourism. I understand what it takes to birth an idea, align it with values, steer it with goals, and use iterative, collaborative processes to make it real then ensure longevity. I am a certified planner (AICP) with the American Planning Association, certified Wayfinder Life Coach through the Martha Beck Institute, active member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), current Secretary / Chief of Staff for the ICF WA Chapter, and have held a commercial driver’s license since 2002. My ride of choice is a good old D-Model MCI.

In the wilds of my personal life, I am a writer, musician, mother, partner, sister, and volunteer. I have seen through the lenses of introversion, empathy, grief, neurodiversity, divorce, addiction, high-achievement, realizing dreams, and then creating new ones. I am here for the journey, and I wake with gratitude and compassion into every numbered day. It is my privilege to share time with you.
